WIG has traditionally provided a range of high level networking opportunities and activities for senior executives in both the public and private sector. Through a new initiative, we are keen to ensure that future senior leaders are exposed to the benefits of cross-sector networking earlier on in their careers.
The evening of the 21 June 2010 saw the successful launch of WIG's Cross-Sector Graduate High Potential Network and we invite graduates from member organisations to join our group on Linkedin so that we can communicate future activities - and most importantly to hear from you how you would like to continue to work together.
Speakers have included:
Tim Kiddell - Speechwriter to the Prime Minister, Cabinet Office
Ann Watt - Deputy Director, Social Exclusion Task Force, Cabinet Office
Natalie Ceeney - Chief Executive and Chief Ombudsman, Financial Ombudsman Service
Planned activities:
- Cross-sector mentoring - why not be mentored by an executive from another sector?
- Cross-sector action learning
- Speaker briefings (breakfast and evening) with key leaders and innovators from across the sectors sharing their views
- Cross-sector placements to experience how the other sector operates (anything from 5 days to up to 3 months; part-time or full-time).
