The National Portrait Gallery Company Ltd wishes to appoint an independent, non-executive director to its Board of Directors.
Role
The National Portrait Gallery Company Ltd is the wholly owned trading subsidiary company of the National Portrait Gallery, which is an exempt charity established by the Museums and Galleries Act 1992 for the purpose of “maintaining a collection of portraits of the most eminent persons in British history, of other works of art relevant to portraiture and of documents relating to those portraits and other works of art”.
The Company’s present independent non-executive director, is due to retire after a very successful period of appointment, and the Company now wishes to find a suitable candidate to replace him on the Board of Directors
