25 Years of Great Connections - Eight Personal Reflections
The Whitehall & Industry Group has played a vital role facilitating cross-sector placements and leadership programmes which have played an important part in the careers of today’s senior leaders. To celebrate these achievements, The Whitehall & Industry Group has a book of portraits, charting the rise of the careers of some key individuals from the public and private sectors and demonstrating how we have contributed to their success. 'Closing the Gap'
The Whitehall & Industry Group has invested 25 years working to improve the inter-relationship between business and government. To mark this milestone, we commissioned a new research into a largely unexplored, but vital, aspect of the relationship, examining how the two sectors communicate, how this has changed since WIG’s inception in 1984, and what developments are anticipated to the future. The results were published in October and launched at the interview with Sir Gus O’Donnell and Sir John Parker - see below.
High Profile Interview
The Whitehall & Industry Group's annual Keynote Address with Sir Gus O’Donnell, Cabinet Secretary was developed into a high-profile interview style event, held on Wednesday 21 October 2009 at the British Museum. Sir Gus was joined on stage by Sir John Parker, Chairman of National Grid and Anglo American for an interview and Q&A session - with an audience - chaired by BBC Political Editor, Nick Robinson.
