Almost a year after the high-profile HMRC data breach and following several other subsequent and highly publicised losses, yet another breach, this time by the MOD, has been announced.

“…Partnership with the private sector is key in these tempestuous times…” was one of the messages delivered to a business audience by Sir Gus O’Donnell at WIG’s Cabinet Secretary Keynote Address, held at HM Treasury on Wednesday 8 October.

Richard Thomas, the Information Commissioner, Shirley Pointer, Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills, Rosa Wilkinson, Lloyds TSB and James Close, Ernst & Young, have recently joined the WIG board as Trustees.
