Key Contacts Reception

On 29 April 2008 WIG held its annual Key Contacts Reception at the Royal Courts of Justice with Sir Suma Chakrabarti, Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Justice as the Keynote Speaker. The event was attended by over 100 of WIG's key contacts, supporters and programme alumni.

Sir Suma stressed his support for WIG and its purpose of bringing government and business together and highlighted a number of specific areas where, through WIG, he and the departments he had worked for had benefited, and alluded to other departments where he had heard of WIG adding value.

In the context of Capability Reviews, he highlighted a number of areas where departments and agencies could benefit from the cross-sector interaction with other sectors - leadership, management of skills and capabilities so that the right people were available to meet the current challenges.
