PPPF: Procurement Capability
The fourth WIG Field Fisher Waterhouse Public/Private Procurement Forum was held on 7 May 2008. Chaired by David Gollancz, Partner, Public Sector Group, at Field Fisher Waterhouse, the Forum once again attracted over 30 delegates from WIG's cross-sector membership.
They heard David Gollancz and Charles Whiddington, Partner EU and Competition Law Group, FFW introducing a number of current topics of relevance to the procurement community, including:
- issues of competitive dialogue;
- the amending regulations;
- cases of interest since the last Forum meeting.
They also heard from Geri McLeary, Director of Procurement Capability Reviews, Office of Government Commerce, who outlined the procurement activities of government departments and highlighted important cross-government themes.
Presentations were followed by a lively question and answer session, which enabled delegates to discuss with each other themes of common interest to business and government.
