Women's Networking Drinks
This is an occasion that offers senior women from across the private and public sectors the opportunity to extend their networks and listen to an interesting speaker.
Minouche Shafik, Permanent Secretary at the Department for International Development (DFID), gave an inspiring talk to an audience of senior women at WIG’s Women’s Networking Drinks on 19 June 2008. Minouche talked about the role of DFID in managing Britain's aid to developing countries and its work fighting poverty on behalf of the UK public. She also spoke about 
gender equality at the heart of development and why the role of women is crucial in ending world poverty.
The event was kindly hosted by Jenny Arwas, Director HR Operations at BT.
