“The course is well structured and also provides a useful opportunity to understand similar problems in other organisations” Mark McIntosh, Systems Design Engineer, Rolls-Royce plc
This popular seminar offers an opportunity for senior managers to step outside their organisations for a few hours to learn and experience a problem-solving technique ideally suited to handling a range of organisational challenges.
With the problems facing us becoming ever more complex, many of us withdraw into our own teams, organisations or sectors.Yet it is precisely at such times, when the going is really tough, that we would benefit from collaborating with others to help resolve our workplace challenges. This seminar offers an opportunity for delegates to learn and experience a problem-solving technique ideally suited to handling the complex challenges facing today's senior managers. The cross-sector environment offered by WIG adds an extra dimension to the day, with delegates sharing challenges, and forging links across sectors and regions.
Action learning is a structured and highly practical approach which:
- addresses real-time issues in which the delegate is directly involved
- focuses on learning - looking beyond participants' own frames of reference
- involves small groups or 'sets' of people - typically 5-8
- finishes with a commitment to action
