Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) - is a Non Departmental Public Body (NDPB), established under the Equality Act 2006 as a corporate body. They have a statutory remit to promote and monitor human rights; and to protect, enforce and promote equality across the seven "protected" grounds - age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief, sexual orientation and gender reassignment.
RCUK Shared Services Centre Ltd - each year the Research Councils invest around £2.8 billion in research into understanding and improving the world around us. They're involved in everything from tackling superbugs or studying social trends to analysing the geo-climate of the Antarctic.. By setting up a shared services centre, the UK’s seven Research Councils, working together as Research Councils UK (RCUK), are reducing spend on administration and increasing their operational efficiency. Sharing and standardising processes simply frees more funds for keeping the UK at the forefront of research and innovation.
The Technology Strategy Board - is all about stimulating technology-enabled innovation in the areas which offer the greatest scope for boosting UK growth and productivity. They promote, support and invest in technology research, development and commercialisation and spread knowledge, bringing people together to solve problems or make new advances. They also advise Government on how to remove barriers to innovation and accelerate the exploitation of new technologies. Working in areas where there is a clear potential business benefit, helping today's emerging technologies become the growth sectors of tomorrow.
