Business attachment scheme (BAS):
‘Getting out’ is increasingly recognised as being crucial to ‘getting on’. Contact us to find out more about how this scheme builds on WIG’s first attachment programme from over 25 years ago to give civil servants a bespoke insight into the private sector. Our broad business membership is ideally placed to provide the right match, and programmes are tailored to fit individual and organisational needs. Typical business attachments last for three weeks, but are often spread over a period of several months to give a short and practical secondment experience.
Short term attachments:
Discover how we tailor our attachments to fit available timescales – from three weeks to three months – and structure them to match individual learning objectives, such as strategic input at board level, with a specific business need. They’re usually part time, meaning you can carry on with your day job whilst swiftly gaining an insight into another sector.
Secondments (UK and international):
Secondments, like attachments, provide a unique insight into another way of working. Ask our People Exchange team for more details of how you could take on an agreed role in your host organisation – providing them with your skills, expertise and perspectives, whilst proving yourself in a new environment. They typically last for between 3 months and 2 years.
Mentoring scheme:
You may be taking on a new role, a new job or simply be seeking a mentor from outside your organisation. We will match you with an experienced leader from another sector to help you meet business and individual goals. It’s a unique relationship and both sides of the partnership gain from discussing their different approaches to, and experiences of, similar themes.
