Charity Next celebrates 10 year anniversary with reception at Clarence House

On 15 November 2017, Charity Next proudly celebrated its 10 year anniversary with a reception at Clarence House generously hosted by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. The event showcased the wonderful outcomes and inspiring stories that the scheme has delivered throughout the years and provided a wonderful opportunity to convene participants from across the sectors.

Charity Next was established by the Prince’s Charities Foundation as an initiative to improve the understanding between the sectors through secondments. For the past 7 years, the scheme has been run in partnership with The Whitehall & Industry Group (WIG) and gives future leaders in the public sector the opportunity to contribute their skills and enthusiasm to key posts in the charitable sector, in order to facilitate an exchange of expertise, build greater mutual understanding, and encourage closer working.

Since its inception, the scheme has grown to facilitate 275 secondments and more than 50 charities have benefited from Charity Next. WIG is proud to have grown the scheme in partnership and with the support of the Cabinet Office and is looking forward to growing it even further in 2018.

If you are a charity that could benefit from hosting a future leader from the public sector, please do get in touch with our Charity Next team.
