Each year, we ask our members to share their perspectives on the state of cross-sector collaboration: where it is working, where it can be improved, and examples of impact from partnership working.
Now in its third year, the WIG State of Cross-Sector Collaboration Survey has become an important barometer for senior leaders across government, business, and civil society.
In 2025, we found that 92% of leaders surveyed thought that cross-sector collaboration was essential to economic growth and better policy outcomes, but only 12% rated current collaboration as good or excellent. The findings, alongside our conversations with members, informed our focus on enabling delivery over the last year.
This year, we’re asking you for approximately 10 minutes of your time to share your views again in a short survey available below.
The findings will be compiled into a report, presented to directors general, permanent secretaries, and industry leaders, and shared with the wider WIG membership.
Your responses will help us build a clearer, evidence-based picture of what it takes to turn shared ambition into the real delivery of economic growth, better services, and lasting social prosperity.
All our members who complete the survey and share their email address will be invited to access our initial findings and insights ahead of general publication of the survey later this year.
