  • provide an update on the performance of the Industrial Strategy
  • talk about the next steps and targets for the implementation of the policy

About the speaker

Andy is the Chair of the Government’s Industrial Strategy Council. Among other positions, he is Honorary Professor at University of Nottingham, a Visiting Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. Andrew is the founder of ‘Pro Bono Economics’, a charity which brokers economists into charitable projects, and a trustee of National Numeracy, Patron of the charities Reach and Speakers for Schools.

Andy is chairing the Industrial Strategy Council in a personal capacity during his term of office. It is not an institutional responsibility of the Bank of England.
