Annual Women's Networking Lunch 2018
One of the highlights in our calendar of events, the lunch brings together over 150 women from a wide range of sectors, offering the opportunity to network and hear from an inspiring keynote speaker. We are delighted that Amanda Nevill, Chief Executive of the British Film Institute will be our guest speaker this year.
This year's event will not only be an opportunity to meet and reconnect with each other, but also focus on how women in leadership roles can empower and promote women at all levels. We believe that a strong network of peers and role models can be the first step towards this goal, so this year we would like to encourage you to invite any women you are mentoring, sponsoring or supporting, either in your organisation or outside of it, to come with you.
The cost to attend is £95 + VAT per person.
About the speaker:
The British Film Institute is the lead organisation for film and moving image in the UK. A cultural Royal Charter charity, a Government arms-length body and distributor of Lottery funds for film, the role of the BFI is to preserve and develop the cultural and economic well-being of the moving image sector in the UK; this includes film, TV and other video formats.
Earlier last year they launched their 5 year strategy, 2022. With an emphasis on the next generation, they are already paving the way on issues of diversity by implementing new diversity; addressing skills shortages for the sector and expanding the employment and economic boom of the screen industries in London and the South East across the UK.
Previously Head of the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television in Bradford, Amanda joined the BFI in 2003; she holds an Honorary Doctorate from Bradford University, Bradford College Norwich University of the Arts and the University of York. She was awarded a CBE in 2015.
