Delivering on the UK’s emissions reduction targets: A collaborative approach

This half day workshop held in partnership with the Grantham Institute at Imperial College London will look at how the public, private, academic and not-for-profit sectors can work together to lower the UK's carbon emissions. Following the COP21 agreement the UK committed to reducing its carbon emissions by 57% by 2030, and this spring the government aims to publish its Emissions Reduction Plan laying out how to meet these its targets.

Speakers will include:

  • Clive Maxwell, Director General of Energy Transformation, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)
  • John Molyneux, Director, Engineering and Technology – Civil Nuclear, Rolls-Royce
  • Gareth Redmond-King, Head of Energy and Climate Change, WWF

Presentations will be followed by interactive roundtable discussions and an opportunity for feedback. A pre-read document produced by Grantham Institute will be circulated to delegates beforehand.
