HR Directors' Roundtable: Preparing for the Return to the Workplace with Leslie Benson, Senior Managing Director, FTI Consulting

An invite only discussion specifically for HR Directors from across the public, private and not for profit sectors, looking at the preparation for the return to the workplace when restrictions ease in light Covid-19 vaccination.

In this discussion, Leslie Benson, Senior Managing Director, FTI Consulting, will provide 15 minutes of opening remarks, before discussion on some the key aspects of the return to work:

  • What are the biggest challenges, and opportunities, in preparing for the return to work? And what can be learnt from those organisations who have had staff in the workplace throughout?
  • What will the ‘new normal’ look like in the workplace, and what challenges does this pose for HR Directors?
  • How can we ensure that leaders, managers and employees can be best-equipped to navigate a phased return to places of work while prioritising wellbeing

    Leslie Benson is a Senior Managing Director in the Strategic Communications segment at FTI Consulting and is based in London. He is the global head of the People & Change practice. Mr. Benson’s expertise and experience includes leadership and workforce engagement, change management and communications, and people and organizational development. For more than 25 years, he has advised, supported and coached business leaders, executive teams and professionals throughout EMEA, Asia Pacific and the Americas. He manages relationships with European and international clients in a variety of sectors, working to help optimize and sustain people and business performance. Mr. Benson also has substantial experience in assisting clients and leading teams tackling strategic and organizational change initiatives, cultural and business transformation, leadership transitions and talent development. He has worked closely with business and functional leaders to align people engagement, communications and development across geographic and cultural boundaries – working collaboratively with corporate offices and local teams. Mr. Benson was born in South Africa and has lived in the UK for more than 30 years. He holds a degree in political science and education and is accredited in a range of psychometric and development tools.

    Charissa joined the Houses of Parliament in September 2018. Her background is in public sector transformation. Charissa has extensive change and project management experience, which ranges from leading public sector cultural change and efficiency programmes, to managing high profile regeneration schemes. In previous roles, Charissa has worked with multiple diverse communities and is passionate about inclusion.

  • James Turner

    Director of Service Delivery and Customer Experience

    Houses of Parliament

    James joined the Houses of Parliament in October 2019. His background is in Customer Experience, Hospitality and Property Management in various sectors including Healthcare, Hotels and Luxury Retail. James has worked internationally in Qatar, Italy and across Europe in workplace management and creation of people centred shared service platforms and designing cost-effective operational processes covering all areas of Facilities Management and Real Estate asset management.
