HR Network: Brexit: HR Challenges & Opportunities: Julia Onslow-Cole, Head of Global Immigration, PwC

Since the Referendum there has been increasing concern amongst EU employees about their future status in the UK . The Roundtable will discuss various policies companies have adopted to support these employees and what a future UK immigration policy may look like. In addition there will be a discussion on the role HR can play to support business growth strategies by analysing the impact of new immigration policies on an existing EU workforce and  third party suppliers

    Julia is the Legal Markets Leader & Head of Global Immigration at PwC, which has immigration practices in 154 countries. She has over 25 years of experience in providing specialist immigration advice and is ranked a number one practitioner in several legal directories. She has represented business at the UK Prime Minister's immigration stocktake meeting and has held the position as adviser to the Home Office on Business, Investment and Growth. Julia led the joint PwC report on the economic benefits of overseas students and is one of PwC's panel of experts on geopolitical impacts on clients especially in Europe. Most recently she was appointed as a key expert in PwC’s Brexit Taskforce and has been liaising with Government and Business on immigration outcomes post the Referendum.  Julia has recently co-authored the Report on Regional Visas and has been appointed a member of the Mayor of London’s Brexit Expert Advisory Group.
