Industrial Strategy: Universities, Business and Innovation

Join us for this evening panel briefing chaired by Will Hutton, Principal of Hertford College, University of Oxford, and Chair of the Big Innovation Centre, examining the opportunities that research and innovation can bring to the regions, and how universities and business can work together to strengthen the UK economy.

Speakers will address how greater collaboration between higher education and industry can enhance our ability to harness the UK's economic potential, how the UK can promote sustainable growth through innovation, and the role of universities and research in tackling the 'Grand Challenges' of the Industrial Strategy: AI and automation, clean growth, an ageing society, and mobility.

This briefing will be preceded by a site visit to the Oxford Robotics Institute, where delegates will be able to see  firsthand some of the research at the forefront of technological innovation in the UK.
