Online Leadership Seminar: Managing the Group Dynamics of Virtual Meetings
Due to the popular demand of our online taster sessions, we have crafted a more immersive online leadership development experience for those who want to delve deeper. These seminars are 2.5 hours long and include a break. They provide you with the opportunity to learn practical tools and tips and to share your experiences with those from across the sectors.
Most of us are spending more and more time in virtual meetings. Having negotiated the technology, switched on the camera and put the dog out... there is then the issue of how to approach this effectively! How to come across, how to be heard and, if you are the person running the meeting, how to keep everyone engaged and involved. This session will explore techniques to help you lead, manage and interact more effectively when in a virtual meeting.
This virtual workshop will focus on:
- Why communicating virtually is different & demanding
- Remaining calm and comfortable when running a virtual meeting
- Boosting your personal presence on video calls
- Confidently answering challenging questions and thinking on your feet
- Knowing how to defuse tricky conversations
- Drawing out the ‘lurkers’ and keeping everyone engaged
- Being seen as both credible and likeable by colleagues on a call
"I thoroughly enjoyed the session, was energised by the facilitator, captured by the subject matter, and able to engage well with the other delegates. Valuable learnings indeed!"Ben Wilberforce-Ritchie BAE Systems
