Site Visit: An insight into the House of Lords

Coverage of the workings of Parliament often focuses heavily on the House of Commons. This visit will offer delegates the opportunity to demystify the role of Parliament's second chamber, how the House of Lords functions, and provide opportunity to ask questions directly to the experts.

The day will involve:

  • Guided tour of the House of Lords
  • An overview of the House of Lords - purposes, structure, organiastions and people
  • 'How it works': in-depth sessions with Q&A
  • An opportunity to observe the the Lord Speaker's procession from the Peers' Lobby, and sit in on Lords Questions.

Please note that we are expecting a high volume of applications for this event, and places are strictly limited. We will likely be limiting attendance to max 1 person per organisation.

Please note that we are now operating a waiting list for this event.

Unfortunately this event is now closed for booking.
