    Sreeram Visvanathan is Chief Executive of IBM UK and Ireland (UKI), a position taken after almost two decades within the IBM Company in a variety of global management positions. In his role as IBM UKI General Manager, Sreeram is responsible for business operations, driving revenue growth, client satisfaction, and employee engagement across the UK and Ireland. As one of IBM’s largest international operations, the UK and Ireland has significant core capabilities in hybrid cloud, AI, blockchain, data and analytics and quantum computing, which empower clients to embark on their digital transformation journeys. Sreeram is an eminent thought leader with deep industry and technology expertise and a strong professional background in consulting. Prior to his appointment as General Manager, IBM UK and Ireland, Sreeram most recently held the position of Global Managing Director, leading Government, Education, Healthcare and Life Sciences industries at IBM worldwide. In his 18 years with IBM, he also fulfilled a number of other global roles including Managing Partner for IBM Global Business Services for the Public Sector, worldwide and Managing Partner of IBM Global Business Services. Sreeram is also a member of our Chairman’s senior team responsible for the performance of the Corporation. Sreeram joined IBM with the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) acquisition in 2002, having worked in Consulting since 1999.  Prior to joining IBM in 2002, Sreeram worked for another Management Consulting firm. He also has over 10 years of experience in various industries, notably manufacturing, prior to his consulting days. Sreeram is based in Dubai but spends much of his time with clients and teams around the world. On a personal level, Sreeram has a strong mix of technology and business skills.  He is passionate about challenging the status quo, leveraging innovation and modern technologies to fundamentally transform industries.    Born in Bangalore, India, educated in the UK, with an MBA from the University of Bradford and, a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Information Technology from Kingston University, he is a truly multi-national leader with a multi-cultural outlook and extensive international experience gained from working in Europe, the Middle East and A
