COP26, the United Nations climate change summit, will now take place between 1 and 12 November 2021. As the UK prepares to host on this revised date, focus is shifting to the period before the summit itself, with the UK hoping to cement its position as a world leader in decarbonisation and environmental protection.

To achieve the ambitious target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, it will be vital for players across government, industry, academia and the not-for-profit sector to unite under shared goals.

We are delighted to be joined by Matt Toombs, Director of Partnerships and Engagement, COP26 Unit, Cabinet Office, as he discusses:

  • What to expect from COP26 and the work that the UK government is doing to prepare for the summit
  • The role of industry, academia and the NfP sector at both the summit itself and in the run up to COP26
  • How meaningful relationships can be built between the sectors to best achieve progress towards decarbonisation and environmental net-gain
