    Hannah and Nicola have between them more than 30 years of experience in the UK Civil Service, working in a range of roles covering both operational delivery and policy and strategy development, specialising in immigration. Following the commitment to resettle 20,000 vulnerable Syrians in September 2015, they took on responsibility for establishing the UK’s community sponsorship scheme and developing integration support for refugees focusing on English language, employment and mental health and well-being.  They now head up the Home Office Unit responsible for developing an integration approach for refugees, growing the community sponsorship scheme and overseeing the safeguarding of asylum seekers. They have been jobsharing for nearly 5 years and are passionate about the benefits this flexible working option offers, allowing both of them to have a challenging and interesting career whilst also spending time with their young families.
