Women's Leadership: Navigating the Labyrinth
In today’s ever-changing world it is becoming more and more difficult to navigate the organisational landscape. One thing is clear however - leadership is more important than ever. And organisations that are well led will have a better chance of surviving these turbulent times. Leaders need to communicate what the organisation stands for – its purpose and the values that give it coherence. A real challenge for leaders is to be aware of the organisational culture and politics whilst ensuring their own core values are not compromised.
Designed and delivered by women, for women, the intention of this seminar is to equip women leaders with resources to help them lead in increasingly challenging times. It works as a stand-alone event and is also one of a series of three linked seminars. Through participating in these intensive events, women leaders will gain deeper insights into their strengths and talents and so enhance the impact they have at work.
This seminar explores how to retain your authenticity yet remain responsive to your context and organisational culture. In our experience, women are often more skilled at this ‘situational sensing’ and at creating relationships that ensure team cohesiveness. This seminar helps you make the best of these skills.

- Tools to help you through the labyrinth of organisational life, whilst remaining true to who you are
- Tools to help you with the change process – both organisational and personal
- Exercises to help you understand your core values

Development Seminars Bookings Terms & Conditions
Full payment or a valid purchase order must be received before the start of the event. The full fee must either be paid within 30 days of an invoice being issued or, if the booking is made within the 30 days prior to the start of the event, payment or a valid purchase order must be received before the event starting date. For a full refund, cancellations must be confirmed in writing no later than 21 days prior to the event starting date. No refunds apply to cancellations made in the 20 days prior to the event. A substitute delegate can attend in the place of the registered delegate, if WIG is notified in advance. There is no fee to substitute a delegate. Non-payment or non-attendance without written notification will incur the full registration fee.
Meet some of the team who work on this programme:
Hilary is Programme Director for the WIG Women's Leadership Programme. She also runs a series of women’s leadership seminars and a career management seminar. Hilary combines working part-time for WIG with running her own career, transition and leadership coaching business, Pathway Coaching. A highly qualified coach and facilitator with over 15 years’ experience working with leaders across the private, public and voluntary sectors, she is a member of the International Coach Federation. With a background in HR, she is also a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. Challenging and pragmatic, Hilary uses powerful questions combined with a dash of creativity to help clients make successful transitions and achieve their goals. Her Pathway clients include the John Lewis partnership, Interflora and Royal Bank of Scotland.
Ruth Morris, Programmme Director
Ruth is CEO of Rema Consulting, a visiting lecturer at Cranfield and co-delivers the WIG Women's Leadership Programme. She specialises in leadership and team development, organisational change, executive coaching and action learning. Her experience covers a broad range of market sectors across different countries and continents. She has a Masters Degree in Management Development and has achieved international recognition for her writing on leadership issues. She is a respected coach, with 20 years’ experience of running her own business, and is known for transforming leaders’ effectiveness. Clients include: Hewlett Packard, Independent TV Companies, RBS, Jaguar Land Rover, ABN Amro, HM Revenue & Customs, and Ministry of Defence.
