Thinking about developing and stretching yourself outside your comfort zone? WIG is all about development with a difference – you will learn from and alongside peers from across the sectors.
Our cross-sector programmes provide a range of learning & development opportunities for high-potentials at all levels of the organisational structure. Along the way you will discover how things work in other sectors and organisations, what things are similar and what’s different, and get inspired with new ideas to try back in your everyday.
It starts with you and expands from there. Take charge of your development with WIG.
Are you a part of our Alumni Network?
WIG helps organisations build pipelines of high-potential individuals. Our programmes develop people who understand the wider context, appreciate cultural distinctions, and know both how things are done and how to get things done in different organisational worlds.
WIG can work with you to build and sustain your leaders for the future. By broadening the experience of your executives through leadership, management and learning development opportunities, we can help your organisation meet the challenges of uncertain times.
Civil Servants: you can sign up for our offerings by following these guidelines.
Which WIG offerings can be seen on the CSL Portal?
All of WIG's longer-term leadership programmes are allowed as part of CSL, and as such do not require special permission to be used (other than your organisation's normal internal process for budgetary approval). All but two of WIG's 1-day courses/development seminars are also included.
Showcasing how collaboration powers innovation:

WIG's Alumni Network builds on the relationships started through our leadership programmes and interchange activities, helping you to further develop your networks across our diverse and growing community of alumni. The network helps alumni maintain the relationships established through mentoring, secondments, attachments, Non-executive placements and our other interchange activities. It also ensures delegates on our leadership programmes can stay in touch. The programme of events and seminars is designed to encourage all alumni to build new contacts and continue their development as leaders.
Our Early Career Network brings together future leaders from a range of WIG member organisations. The network will help you build connections with your peers, and develop the skills and knowledge to move ahead in your career.
The network incorporates targeted development opportunities with a series of briefings and events, many suggested by the network itself - so do get in touch with your ideas!
