Disruptions caused by events of recent years, including the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, have brought into focus for organisations across the sectors the need to strengthen resilience in critical supply chains. The Integrated Review Refresh in March 2023 set out that HMG will publish a Critical Imports Strategy to support specific government and business action to strengthen our resilience in critical and growth sectors, due to be launched in late autumn. WIG is delighted to welcome Philippa Makepeace OBE - Director Global Supply Chains and Economic Security, and Emily Woodburn, Deputy Director, from the Department for Business and Trade, to introduce the strategy and discuss the crucial importance of cross-sector collaboration in its implementation.

Watch now for your opportunity to:

• Understand how the strategy has identified and prioritised actions across supply chains of strategic importance to the UK

• Discuss how industry and government can work together to effectively respond and adapt to shocks when they occur and actively plan for long-term trends and supply chains of the future
