Collaborative leadership and organisational development

The value of an inclusive workplace is clear to see, but how can organisations be truly representative of the towns and cities in which they are based, and take advantage of local skills and expertise?

Join us for this discussion with an expert cross-sector panel from organisations who are working hard to address place-based diversity at all levels of seniority, and you will:

  • Understand how organisations are building talent pipelines to reflect local demographics
  • Explore the impact of the levelling up and reform agendas on UK-wide recruitment

Speakers at the Event

As HMRC Race Delivery Director, I am responsible for ensuring that our internal Race Equality Action Plan (REAP) translates into real and sustained change, from a customer and colleague perspective and that race equality work is owned and delivered right across HMRC.

The REAP was devised to tackle the findings in our Race Disparity Audit; however, positive changes will also benefit other protected characteristics.

My team is committed to ensuring that we work with our colleagues and stakeholders to improve Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic representation across the organisation, based on equal access to opportunities and removing barriers that enable fair progression on merit.

Palwinder cares about enabling regional growth. Born and raised in Yorkshire (Bradford), she’s a strong believer in addressing societal inequalities. As part of her role and mission, she’s committed to making a stronger connection between skills, training, and business needs.

As a working mum of two young girls, she strives to be a positive role model to the next generation of women every day, showing it is possible to have a career and family simultaneously. It is about a blended work-life balance.

Her free time involves trail-running and vinyasa yoga…and good food!
