Advanced Collaborative Leadership Programme

Advanced Collaborative Leadership Programme

An evidence-based programme to support leaders to develop the mindset, skillset and capabilities required of a collaborative leader in complex times.

Traditional frameworks for leadership are struggling to address the challenges of our age. Leaders are dealing with complex, interconnected issues at an accelerating pace and in a volatile context, with information overload. It is increasingly important that leaders understand the imperative for collaboration and how to develop the mindsets, values, and behaviours required to develop highly successful multi-stakeholder partnerships.

This new and innovative programme, grounded in research and focused on practical impact, develops the cross-sector collaborative leadership capabilities that are required to address social and environmental challenges in both local and global landscapes. The programme will offer insights from a diverse range of collaborative leaders from across the sectors. It is informed by WIG's recently published Collaboration Playbook, and enables participants to embed a collaborative mindset.

"Collaboration across boundaries and sectors is increasingly becoming the core of our expectations of what emerging great future leaders will excel at." Fiona Ryland, Government Chief People Officer

Why we're different: WIG's approach to leadership development

At the heart of all our programmes, WIG’s leadership development framework sets out our values and approach to leadership and learning. Our aim is to encourage and enable the mindsets, actions and behaviours that leaders need in order to successfully navigate the complexities of 21st century leadership.

For nearly 40 years, we’ve been working collaboratively with public, private and not-for-profit organisations, helping leaders to gain cross-sector insight that enriches their personal and organisational performance.  That’s what makes WIG’s leadership development programmes different – a unique focus on cross-sector peer learning brings true diversity of ideas, encourages curiosity, openness and innovation and helps individuals and organisations to find inspiration and fresh ideas from others.

Our programmes complement an organisation’s in-house delivery, bringing fresh perspective from different sectors and expanding high-value professional networks.
