Our Women’s Leadership Programme is a six-month, hands-on, transformative experience designed to help women leaders step out of their comfort zones, master their collaborative leadership capabilities and solve real-world leadership challenges alongside a dynamic group of talented, inspiring women leaders from diverse sectors.

This takes more than just expertise—it demands authentic, bold, forward-thinking leadership and the confidence to collaborate across sectors.

Our Women’s Leadership Programme is designed to enable women leaders to look up, out, and ahead, gaining clarity and confidence about who they are and what kind of leader they aspire to be. Through exposure to diverse perspectives, strategic thinking tools and powerful cross-sector networks, participants learn to sharpen their leadership edge, navigate complexity with confidence, and drive lasting impact—within their organisations and beyond.

You'll engage with accomplished women leaders from diverse sectors, gain fresh outside perspectives, and refine your leadership style to navigate today’s complex business landscape.

Structure

The next Women’s Leadership programme runs between October 2025 and March 2026. It begins with a 2-day module, followed by a series of action learning sets and a charity day visit. Each module builds on the previous one, ensuring continuous growth, peer support, and the practical application of key leadership principles. The programme is designed around key themes particularly relevant to women leaders, providing participants with strategic insights they can implement within their organisations and beyond to drive real impact.

Programme team

Ruth Morris has been an executive coach for over nineteen years and specializes in senior leadership and team development programmes internationally. Passionate about empowering women in leadership, Ruth is the lead facilitator on the WIG Women’s Leadership Programme, where she works closely with participants to unlock their unique leadership potential and prepare them for senior and board-level positions. Ruth’s coaching style is described as both challenging and supportive, adapting to each client’s needs.

Her clients include prestigious organizations such as ABN Amro Bank, BAE Systems, Mizuho Bank, Audit Wales, Natural Resources Wales, the Competition and Markets Authority, and many central government departments. Ruth is the CEO of Teleios Consulting South East Ltd (trading as Rema Consulting) and leads a talented, diverse team. She holds a Master's in Leadership Development and is an accredited life and career coach. Ruth’s long-standing association with WIG is a testament to her passion for developing strong women leaders and her excitement for contributing to their inspiring future.

Jean is a leadership coach with over 35 years of experience helping female executives and managers enhance self-awareness, confidence, and impact. She specializes in career transitions, leadership development, and stakeholder management, drawing on her extensive experience in client-facing, operational, and strategic roles across the UK, France, and global markets.

A former board member of a global digital technology company, Jean brings real-world executive insight to her coaching. She is a Professional Certified Coach (ICF), Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, and an accredited Emotional Intelligence and DISC Practitioner. Passionate about supporting women in leadership, Jean is dedicated to helping them achieve their professional and personal aspirations.

Cathy is a leadership specialist and executive coach with over 25 years of experience designing and delivering cross-sector leadership programmes. As former Head of Leadership at WIG, she developed innovative programmes to support senior leaders across government, business, and the not-for-profit sector.

Previously, Cathy spent 16 years in global leadership roles at the University of Cambridge’s Business School and the Møller Institute, working with executives from diverse industries. She holds an MA, MBA, and an Advanced Diploma in Transformational Coaching (EMCC Senior Practitioner level). A linguist and lifelong learner, Cathy is passionate about helping leaders navigate complexity and drive meaningful change.

Gina serves as Programmes Manager and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) Champion at WIG, drawing from nearly a decade of experience in the international NGO sector, with a strong focus on gender equality and human rights. Transitioning from a background in international law, Gina works at the national level now with senior civil servants and industry leaders, helping them navigate the intersection of public service and the private sector. By developing leadership capabilities in these individuals, Gina supports their influence on national policy, fosters partnerships, and empowers them to lead effectively in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Gina is passionate about supporting members in taking a step back to reflect on how they lead and where they want to take their leadership journey.Gina holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and History from Birkbeck and an MA in Human Rights and International Law, and she is dedicated to creating inclusive cultures that empower leaders to thrive.

Applications for the next cohort are currently being received on a rolling basis. To apply, please download and complete the application form, which asks for details about your leadership experience, objectives, and reasons for wanting to join the programme. Once completed, send the form to [email protected]

After submitting your application, we will schedule a brief virtual conversation to discuss your application further. You will receive confirmation of your place based on sector dynamics—early confirmations will be sent by 14 July 2025, and final confirmations by 15 September 2025. Pre-programme work and onboarding will be expected two weeks before the programme start date.

  • WIG member fee: £6,699 +VAT
  • Non-member fee: £8,699 +VAT

How to pay

Accepted applicants from Universities, Charities, and Private Sector companies will receive an invoice for the programme upon confirmation of their successful application.
