From addressing skills gaps and managing a flexible, hybrid workforce, to embedding AI in the workplace, 2025 has presented several opportunities and challenges that need to be addressed to by employers across the sectors.
This cross-sector panel will explore how senior HR leaders are preparing their organisations to drive productivity and create high-performing, collaborative workplaces for 2026 and beyond.

Speakers
Julie joined the Department of Work and Pensions in April 2024 as the Director General for People and Capability, having previously held the position of Chief People Officer at the Home Office since December 2021.
Julie started her HR career with BNFL Magnox Generation in Gloucestershire in 1997 and has spent her entire career in a variety of HR roles, including 14 years in retail as Group HR Director with Matalan, New Look and the JD Group.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and is passionate about people and organisational development.
Julie is married and in her spare time, she enjoys cycling, pilates, yoga, attending concerts and the theatre and travelling.
Kat currently holds the positions of CHRO, Human Resources UK&I, as well as Global HR Director for Social Relations at Atos. She has been with Atos since 2011, following the initial stages of her career where she gained valuable experience in a variety of HR roles at Siemens and Iqvia.
Throughout her career, Kat has developed extensive expertise in leading major HR transformation programmes on a global scale. She has successfully managed multi-country teams, ensuring the effective execution of business strategy across diverse regions. In addition to her operational responsibilities, Kat has also contributed at board level, having served on the Atos SE Board of Directors. In this capacity, she represented employee shareholders during a period marked by significant organisational change.
Kat is a Fellow CIPD. On a personal note, she is married, has a daughter, and has recently embarked on learning to tap dance!
