The Second budget of the new Labour government will set out not only the Chancellor’s fiscal plans but also the government’s vision for growth, taxation, and public services. It carries significant implications for business, the economy and wider society.

Understanding how the public view these decisions is vital – what do Britons want from the Budget, and how do their expectations align with what the Chancellor has announced? This joint briefing from Ipsos and WIG offers the chance to hear expert analysis of the Chancellor’s announcements, set in the context of the latest public attitudes on the economy, tax and spending, and what it all means for decision makers across sectors.
