Join us for this special briefing with Sarah Maclean, Co-Chief Executive Officer at Skills England, to explore the strategic roadmap for the nation’s skills landscape over the next 12-18 months.

As Skills England marks its first full year of operation, this briefing will cover the organisation's emerging priorities and the role cross-sector collaboration must play in building a workforce fit for the future.
Drawing on Skills England's forthcoming annual report, Sarah will set out the strategic direction for the year ahead, from addressing persistent skills gaps to navigating the accelerating impact of AI on the labour market and the reskilling challenge it presents. With government, employers, and training providers each holding a piece of the puzzle, the session will explore where cross-sector effort is working, where it falls short, and what more needs to be done.

Join this briefing to discuss:
  • The priorities and ambitions for Skills England in the year ahead, and what success looks like across different sectors
  • How government, employers, and training providers can work more closely together to close persistent skills gaps
  • The role of AI and emerging technologies in reshaping the skills landscape, and the reskilling challenge this presents
  • The practical steps needed to translate national skills strategy into tangible outcomes for workers and the economy
