In an era marked by globalisation and increasingly vulnerable trade security, freeports and investment zones have emerged as ways to catalyse economic growth and enhance British trade for our domestic market.

With the eight English freeports entering their second year of activity, join us to:

  • Gain a further understanding about the role of investment zones in supporting regional economic growth
  • See where there is scope for engagement and collaboration between government departments and private industry
  • Pose your questions directly to the panel during a live audience Q&A

Speakers

Michael Green is the Head of Freeports and Investment Zones at the Department for Business and Trade. His team is tasked with supporting both Freeports and IZs to become hubs for global trade and investment within the UK, promoting their attractiveness to prospective investors and export markets overseas.

The livestream will run from 12:30 - 13:30.
