A recording of the WIG webinar- What is the Future of the Industrial Strategy? with Chris White, Director, The Institute for Industrial Strategy, King's College London

Theme(s)

Economic growth and prosperity

Following the Brexit Referendum and subsequent appointment of a new Prime Minister, the UK's Industrial Strategy was published in November 2017 with the purpose of creating an 'economy that works for everyone'.

Through its 'Grand Challenges', foundations and local industrial strategies, the Industrial Strategy is one of the most complex, but significant, domestic policy frameworks to date. In 2020, there is a great deal of speculation over the future of the strategy.

Join us online to hear from Chris White, Director of the Institute for Industrial Strategy, King's College London, as he discusses:

  • The merits of the Industrial strategy, its development and objectives
  • The progress of the Industrial Strategy to date
  • Why the need to continue with the Industrial Strategy may now be more urgent than ever
